The Northern Lights were fascinating last night. I have never seen them so spread all over the sky. First we enjoyed them here at Minna-Mosfell with our guests.
We decided to invite our guests on a tour and drove to Thingvellir National Park. All the way were parked cars and people enjoying the show.
We had just a beautiful view of the Northern Lights at Hakið at Thingvellir, in complete darkness in a calm weather but the temperature was -14°C! Pretty cold, but we had all put on 66°North overalls and Icelandic woolen hats and mittens so we did hardly feel the cold weather. Our guests had never seen the Northern Lights before their trip and never been in -14°C so this turned out to be extremely exciting evening. CNN saw a reason to write about this evening :
